Woolrich and Griffin have partnered for a third collaborative collection, this time for FW19. This particular project places a focus on sustainability through a trio of creative approaches.

Woolrich x Griffin FW19 finds the brands cutting down on the leading source of waste during production processes, water. They utilize 60 percent organic cotton and 40 percent recycled nylon that is printed rather than colored to reduce the environmental impact. A standout garment created from this technique is a reversible parka that features a zipper closure at the side seams, which transforms the shell into a poncho.

Woolrich and Griffin also use 100 percent recycled polyester ripstop throughout the collection, with more than 40 percent of the material being collected from 1,500 Spanish fishermen. Notably breathable as well as waterproof, this recycled material is produced in Italy by Majo Tech, known for its technical fabrics for military use. The America T-shape parka and Sleeping Bag Coat are made from this material, as both are reversible, similar to the parka.

Lastly, the "Second Life" capsule is also a part of Woolrich and Griffin's FW19 collaboration. The range consists of four styles crafted from premium Italian fabrics that had previously been discarded, partially due to over orders or being used for older seasons. Limited to 120 individual pieces worldwide, the garments showcase a combination of patterns and fabrics, including a Majocchi camouflage pattern, buffalo check, and wool on recycled polyester.

First pieces from the Woolrich x Griffin FW19 collection are scheduled to launch in Winter 2019.
