While we can safely assume that ’90s grunge icon Kurt Cobain would never have dropped a grand on one of his oversized cardigans, that doesn't mean you can't. Vetements' Fall/Winter 2019 Five Button Cardigan just landed on SSENSE, and while the $1,150 price tag is undeniably hefty, even the wealthy among us want to show off their inner Teen Spirit.

The Vetements piece is crafted from an alpaca and merino wool-blend, meaning it's soft as hell. It features large pockets on the front, a V-neck, five buttons, and a paper tag detail at the side. It's essentially a replica of the one Cobain wore during Nirvana's historic MTV Unplugged session.

And if you want to put the price of this Cobain vibe into perspective, back in 2015 the exact MTV Unplugged cardigan sold for $137,500, while in May a cardigan worn by the artist during his final Nirvana photoshoot sold for $75,000 at auction.

The cardigan isn't the only Cobain-inspired piece by Vetements. In January, it was shown on the runway alongside a $550 recreation of the singer's DIY “Corporate Magazines Still Suck” tee, which he wore on the cover of Rolling Stone in 1992.
