The rush for EVA-molded slides hit a real high point last year. Of course, the resurrection of Crocs was a major contributing factor, but at one point, it felt as though all brands were making a bid for the style, ranging from Merrell to Kito Wares to Off-White™. Granted, now that summer’s a way away, the desire for rubber slides has dwindled, but Urban Outfitters’ latest drop has piqued our interest in the category again.

The UO Molded Water Shoe is not only a highly utilitarian silhouette for spring and summer exploration, but it cuts a dramatic shape, too. The all-in-one design features a bulbous sole unit split into three distinct sections to provide comfort and stability, while the vamp boasts a number of drainage holes for when you’re wearing yours in the water. We’d be remiss not to mention the streamlined gutters that not only aid drainage but also add a distinctive style to the design.

Retailing for just $25, the UO Molded Water Shoe is available in black, beige, and olive. The three understated, neutral colorways reflect a wider trend for these kinds of dusty hues when it comes to rubber slides. They’re easy to slip on and go with everything color-wise, but do not be mistaken: these slides make an impact.
