Uniqlo, KAWS, and Warhol are all wrapped up in one! Surprised? Well, you shouldn't be—let us tell you why. Breaking boundaries has always been central within the aesthetics of American designer KAWS, pop art legend Andy Warhol and Japanese retailer Uniqlo.

When it comes to dissolving the differences between artistic formats and sewing the rip between commercial and fine art, these two pioneers are masters of their craft. Equally, Uniqlo has consistently backed the art industry via their 'Art for All' project, which for over a decade has been collaborating with the world’s greatest museums aiming to increase public access and engagement with fine arts. KAWS has been involved with the Japanese retailer since 2016 and has contributed ever since, while Warhol’s art first appeared on Uniqlo in 2004 and is continuously featured, up till today.

As a result of this shared vision, Uniqlo announces the launch of a new UT—shorthand for Uniqlo T-shirt—to celebrate the current KAWS + Warhol exhibition at The Warhol Museum in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. In addition to the classic UT, the partnership offers a wide range of products that merge the artist's worlds, from sweatshirts and jackets to socks and tote bags. No matter what the occasion, Uniqlo's LifeWear has got you covered. Our top picks include some T-shirts and sweatshirts that show KAWS’ love bunnies sketch and his ‘Blue BFF’ posing with Warhol’s infamous ‘Banana.’

Together with the collection, an art book for the KAWS + Warhol exhibition will be available in all Uniqlo stores globally and online via uniqlo.com in advance of the publisher’s general release. Inside the book, you’ll find a side-by-side showcase of the artist’s drawings and conceptual themes, plus an exclusive interview with KAWS, essays by art historians and curators, and finally, installation views from the exhibition.

So there you have it—an everyday take on the world’s most notorious art pieces so you can have a slice of it in your personal wardrobe. For those who want to get their hands on the collab, the collection will be available on August 22 in Uniqlo stores and the Uniqlo website.
