Twitter Tested a Feature That Suggests Who to Unfollow
Twitter recently tested a feature that suggests which users to unfollow. The test only lasted a few days and the feature was only made available to a small number of users.
The test was discovered by The Next Web's Matt Navarra, who posted screenshots showing a list of suggested users to unfollow preceded by a prompt headed "Control what's happening here."
“We know that people want a relevant Twitter timeline," the company told The Verge in a statement. "One way to do this is by unfollowing people they don’t engage with regularly. We ran an incredibly limited test to surface accounts that people were not engaging with to check if they’d like to unfollow them.”
There's no confirmation of an official rollout, but should any other news drop, we'll be sure to update.
