Ten c
1 / 5

Founded in 2010, Alessandro Pungetti's Ten c imprint has been perfecting its craft quietly for some time and it really shows. Ten c Spring/Summer 2022 is the label's most exciting collection to date, collating more than a decade's worth of lessons learned, fabrics developed, and craftsmanship perfected.

At the root of the whole thing, fittingly, is Ten c's signature OJJ fabric. Original Japanese Jersey is produced exclusively in Japan before being cut, sewn, and dyed by Ten c. It's known for its stiffness on purchase which quickly softens and adapts to the wearer’s body. The 9oz OJJ used throughout the collection is ideal for summer and is notably used as the base for the Flight Jacket, Parka, and Anorak.

Alongside the returning OJJ fabric is a new arrival for Spring/Summer 2022 in a Nylon Crinkle Ripstop. This highly durable, transparent fabric forms some of the collection's standout pieces thanks to the thermo-welded patch pockets, zips, and hoods applied to give the ultralight material greater structure and visual contrasts.

A new category of garments lands for Spring/Summer 2022, too, highlighting Ten c's ability to innovate. Posited as inter-season garments, a range of mid-layers cut from a single layer of fabric offer up extreme versatility when it comes to layering this season. These lightweight sweatshirts are enhanced with Old Chic treatment to enhance their structure while visual detailing comes from a direct-dye process as well as oversized varsity shapes.

The final crucial part of the Spring/Summer 2022 puzzle comes in the form of a collaboration with Gang Box AKA. Moya Garrison-Msigwana, an artist and illustrator from Toronto. It's the first time that Ten c has collaborated with an illustrator, and if the three T-shirts and sweatshirt are anything to go by, we hope it's not the last. Landing in black and white with a flash of signature Ten c orange, the graphic pieces are a punchy departure from the season's neutral color palette.
