Tekashi 6ix9ine, real name Daniel Hernandez, is being sued by Fashion Nova for $2.25 million for being a bad brand ambassador, TMZ reports.

According to new court documents, Hernandez and Fashion Nova signed an endorsement deal in October 2018. Hernandez agreed to become a brand ambassador for Fashion Nova and promote it on social media, receiving an advance of $225,000. Just two weeks after signing the deal, however, Hernandez was arrested, making him unable to promote the brand.

Fashion Nova claims that it has never received the advance back and that it wasn't aware of Hernandez's criminal activities. The brand also explains that Hernandez's testimony on trial has hindered him from being a "good ambassador" for Fashion Nova.

In February 2019, Hernandez became a cooperating witness and testified against a number of fellow Nine Trey Gangsta Blood members. As a reward for his cooperation, he received a reduced sentence of 24 months and is expected to be released this summer, on August 2.
