Back in May, Talib Kweli had a candid interview with Esquire, sharing his take on Kanye West’s current ideologies from endorsing Donald Trump and Candace Owens, to saying slavery was a choice and more.

Now, the renowned hip-hop artist and social activist, who has worked with Kanye West since 2001, is calling out Ye in a recent Instagram video post, asking the creative artist/entrepreneur to finish working on their joint album. Talib Kweli revealed that he and Kanye West began the collaborative project in January of 2018, the very same month when conservative commentator and political activist Candace Owens and her followers called him all types of racist names.

The post is accompanied with a caption that reads, "Me and @kanyewest started an album together last January. That same month Candace Owens trolled me on twitter and her followers called me all types of n*ggers and monkeys for months. Hey Ye it’s probably time to revisit this one... lyrics are timely AF. Welcome back."

Talib Kweli's closing sentence also correlates with Kanye West's recent rant via Twitter denouncing his affiliation with BLEXIT, and having a change of heart by staying away from politics and solely focusing on creativity. Talib's post also previews one of the singles from the joint album, and urges Ye to reach out to him so they can complete the project.

Kanye's YANDHI album is due out on Black Friday, November 23, and it was already announced last month that Ye has another joint project in the works with Chance The Rapper called, Good Ass Job.

Also, in case you missed it, Pusha-T wants Kanye West to produce every track on his ‘DAYTONA’ follow-up.
