Under Armour is reportedly giving Steph Curry his own brand a la Michael Jordan and Nike. The Maryland-based sportswear company enjoyed early success when it signed Curry as its premiere athlete endorser in 2013, but has been hit financially due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, according to reports.

Curry, whose Under Armour contract was renewed in 2018, apparently only resigned with the brand because he was promised his own brand in the same vein as Michael Jordan’s deal with Nike. This would make him one of very few players to get a similar deal to MJ. Dwyane Wade has a deal with Li-Ning, which sees his Way of Wade sub-brand operate independently.

While Under Armour has yet to confirm the news, Dwyane Wade, Damian Lillard, and Bradley Beal congratulated Curry in the comment section under Bleacher Report’s Instagram post reporting the news. Check it out below.

It’s also reported that Steph Curry will have his own logo (rumored look in the video below) and that the Under Armour logo will no longer appear on his sneakers.
