This week Sotheby's London has launched its first sale dedicated to contemporary Japanese prints and photographs. In celebrating the pioneers of the Neo-Pop movement, the auction features works by Japan's most revered artists, including Yoshimoto Nara, Takashi Murakami, and Yayoi Kusama, while others who draw from Japanese and Western pop culture, such as KAWS and Daniel Arsham, are also represented.

Pieces by Nobuyoshi Araki and Rinko Kawauchi delve into shibari philosophies, as other works highlight kawaii, or the culture of cuteness. Consisting of 73 lots in total, the sale, which is referred to as "From Japan with Love," brings subcultures from otaku to kinbaku to London.

Sotheby's "From Japan with Love" online auction is open from now through October 13, with the pieces being displayed at Sotheby's London from October 10 to October 12. For more on the contemporary Japanese sale, visit sothebys.com.
