In a bizarre — and completely unexpected — collaboration, Sony and Zara have teamed up to drop what could quite possibly be 2020's most unappealing sneaker.

The "Sony Interactive Entertainment Sneakers" are only available in kids' sizes, ranging up to a US 7, though the PlayStation-themed kicks seem too uncool for even the playground.

The upper features a PlayStation 1-inspired grey colorway. The tongue features a full-color PlayStation graphic and the elastic strap over the front is stamped with the console's signature X and square combo, making for highly overt branding.

That's not all, the heels are equipped with tabs featuring PlayStation text and a "Power" button. And of course, just in case the shoes didn't already stand out enough, this is all completed with a green “air” bubble for cushioning.

This is not the Japanese tech giant's first foray into the world of sneakers. In 2018, Sony linked with Nike for an Air Force 1, which is one of the most coveted Air Force 1s in recent history. This co-branded Zara sneaker, on the other hand, is a far cry from some of the past PlayStation sneakers we’ve seen.

If you're not scared off, you can cop a pair of PlayStation kicks on the Zara webstore now for $50.
