Seth Rogen got more than he bargained for on last night's episode of The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.

In town to promote his new film, Like Father, Fallon took the dad theme and ran with it, persuading the actor to perform a dramatic reading of text threads between fathers and their children. Despite the odd request, Rogen willingly complied, and the result is unsurprisingly hilarious. Watch above.

Later, the actor spoke about his casting struggles for the movie. The feature, now available on Netflix, was written and directed by Rogen's wife Lauren Miller and focuses on the breakdown of a father-daughter relationship. The role required a mid-30s Canadian, which led Rogen to believe he was a shoe-in. Unfortunately, his wife had other plans. Listen to him discuss the movie and his new found fame as the voice of public transportation in Vancouver and Toronto below.
