A24 has already solidified itself as one of the film industry's premiere psychological horror distributers, responsible for such gems as Hereditary, Midsommar, The Witch, and The Killing of a Sacred Deer. As the company continues to bolster its roster of frightening pictures, we receive a look at what could very well be one of A24's most disturbing movies to date, Saint Maud.

Saint Maud tells the story of a reclusive young nurse named Maud who recently devoted her life to Christianity following an obscure trauma. Overly enthusiastic, Maud will stop at nothing to save the soul of one patient in particular, a retired dancer overtaken by cancer.

Welsh actress Morfydd Clark stars in the film as Maud, while Jennifer Ehle portrays her patient, Amanda. Lily Knight, Lily Frazer, Turlough Convery, Rosie Sansom, Marcus Hutton, Carl Prekopp, and Noa Bodner also feature.

Saint Maud is written and directed by Rose Glass, who is making her directorial debut. The religious psychological horror movie is due in theaters April 3.
