Double Tap to Zoom

While many know Questlove for his musical exploits — namely being the joint frontman for Grammy Award-winning band The Roots — his Food Salon series highlights his profound appreciation for the culinary arts. For those unaware, Questlove’s Food Salon finds the country's best chefs cooking for star-studded guest lists. This is ultimately the premise behind the 48-year-old musician's new cookbook, Mixtape Potluck.

Mixtape Potluck serves as Questlove's imagining of the ultimate potluck dinner. He has called on more than fifty chefs, entertainers, artists, thought leaders, and musicians to provide their favorite recipes for the book, as he then pairs each guest with a song that captures their creative energy. Contributors range from Jimmy Fallon and Q-Tip, to Tom Sachs and Natalie Portman, among many others. Mixtape Potluck opens with a forward from none other than Martha Stewart and concludes with Questlove's how-to on making the perfect playlist.

With photography by Marcus Maddox, Mixtape Potluck releases on October 15 for $30.
