Whether you like it or not, collaborations have become the easiest way of creating something new.

When it was first announced that Prada would be partnering with adidas, it came as a surprise to all of us. Seeing a luxury giant collaborate with a sportswear label felt refreshing, and immediately had fans excited for what was to come.

Then it was revealed that it was just an adidas Superstar sneaker, updated with a small Prada logo detail. Sure, the shoe came with a Prada x adidas branded logo bag, but it wasn't anything new or exciting – just lazy. However, the Highsnob team still loved them.

It is hard to get a collaboration between two brands with such distinct DNAs right, and despite the lackluster innovation in the two's first partnership, another release was teased that had fans a lot more excited.

The A+P Luna Rossa was designed for the Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli sailing team, and the AC75 Runa Rossa boat plaid a big part in inspiring the shoe's design. With its nod to Prada's vast array of retro footwear, and adidas' performance history, the collaboration was an instant success.

Following the release of the white colorway, a black iteration also dropped weeks later. Lastly, a limited-edition silver edition also hit shelves.

After the success, another Prada x adidas rumor began circulating on the Internet, after A$AP Rocky wore a pair of white adidas Forum sneakers decked out with Prada logo pouches.

It took quite some time, but eventually, the Forum collaboration was confirmed. This time around, Prada added one of its signature elements, Re-Nylon, to the Three Stripes silhouette, creating the perfect marriage of the two brands.

Instead of spacing out the colorways, this time they'll all be dropping at once. Two iterations of the Forum will be available – the Low and High – in both black and white options.

In addition to the footwear, a wide range of apparel including tracksuits, a bucket hat, and a bag will also drop alongside it, marking what I personally think is the strongest collaboration yet.

As Prada's relationship with adidas continues to grow and develop, we're going to see plenty of more from the duo. Whether it is taking on classic silhouettes such as the Stan Smith or the Samba, or introducing more apparel, we're excited about the future.
