Patta's Knitwear is Second to None
It goes without saying that Patta has been on an absolute tear for the past few years. What was once a small Amsterdam-based boutique has transformed into an emerging streetwear giant with a long list of collaborations to boast.
Whether enlisting the queen herself Erykah Badu for their Four Leaf Clover campaign with Converse or teaming up with Tommy Hilfiger to pay tribute to their hip-hop-inspired roots, Patta is carving out a lane of its own.
And while the Dutch brand checks all the right boxes for collabs, its seasonal collections are equally on point. With the release of its spring/summer 23 collection, we're compelled to conclude the same thing as last season: that it has some of the best knitwear in the game.
The resurgence of knitwear in streetwear and luxury collections has been especially prominent in the past few seasons, with brands like Stockholm Surfboard Club, Marni, and AGR each adding their own take to the ever-expanding cozy universe.
Besides being a must-have garment for the chilly seasons behind us, it's grown to become indispensable in spring and summer collections, with sweater vests and cardigans growing in popularity thanks to folks like Tyler, the Creator.
And Patta has included some of the aforementioned garments in its latest collection, the highlight of the drop being its argyle knitted cardigan.
Taking inspiration from its Surinamese roots and pre-2000 knitwear, the tonal bouclé sweater is one of many standout pieces from its SS23 drop. Executed in an intarsia finish with diamond motifs and the brand’s script logo woven across the chest, this breathable sweater was crafted for transitional weather.
Available now in the Highsnobiety Shop with more seasonal garments on the way, Patta is effortlessly weaving narratives into its clothing.
