Today, we're taking a look at Nike's new Air Max collection inspired by convenience stores in Japan. The capsule features a trio of icons in the Air Max 90, Air Max 95, and Air Max 97, with each shoe pulling from a specific item found in Japanese convenience stores.
In other Swoosh-related news, the brand is gearing up to bring back the "Neutral Grey" Air Jordan 1 Low, which last released in 2015.
Fans of collaborations will soon be able to scoop up Bad Bunny's first-ever drop with adidas, while Italian fashion brand NEMEN has just launched its debut collab with PUMA.

Nike Air Max Collection Inspired by Convenience Stores

Editor’s Notes: Nike's new Air Max collection draws inspiration from Japanese convenience stores. The capsule includes four designs: an Air Max 95, Air Max 97, and two colorways of the Air Max 90, each decorated with different design elements that point to specific items found in the aforementioned shops. The Air Max 95, which will be available exclusively in Japan, boasts magazine print on the upper and incorporates a rubber strap, referencing the rubber band that holds the magazines located in convenience stores across Japan. The Air Max 97, with its transparent print that looks like a drop of water, is a nod to convenience store jelly. And lastly, the Air Max 90s are associated with rice balls and chicken, featuring a rice-printed insole on one pair and a depiction of the paper-like material that holds pieces of chicken on the other. The lottery for the convenience store-inspired Air Max sneakers begins March 13 through atmos.
Bad Bunny x adidas Forum Buckle Low "The First Café"

Editor’s Notes: For his debut collaboration with adidas, Bad Bunny has transformed the Forum Buckle Low sneaker. “The First Café,” as it's called, is a direct reference to the cup of coffee that the Puerto Rican musician starts each day with. Boasting a coffee-inspired off-white, grey, and white colorway, the collaborative court sneaker is done up in premium leather with suede overlays and incorporates a distinctive buckle fastening.
NEMEN x PUMA

Editor’s Notes: PUMA and Italian fashion brand NEMEN have teamed up for their first-ever collaboration, inspired by motorsport racing and military gear. Leading the pack, the Centaur Mid Disc arrives in an all-black colorway, featuring a neoprene upper and PUMA's Disc technology. The Centaur Mid, on the other hand, is offered in white and black, and has a nubuck upper with suede PUMA Formstrip overlay.
Air Jordan 1 Low OG "Neutral Grey"

Editor’s Notes: Following in the footsteps of the Air Jordan 1 Hi ‘85 “Neutral Grey,” the Air Jordan 1 Low OG "Neutral Grey" is due for a comeback. Nike is reviving the clean colorway this year, as here we get an official look at the 2021 iteration. The low-top "Neutral Grey" 1s are dressed in an all-white leather upper, featuring a grey Swoosh executed in suede on the side. A release date for the forthcoming pair has yet to be confirmed, but expect it to arrive sometime this spring/summer, following the most recent launch from 2015.

Editor’s Notes: Salomon draws inspiration from one of its more beloved trail running shoes, the SPEEDCROSS 3, for an all-new sneaker, called the STREETCROSS. The silhouette takes the grippy outsole of the SPEEDCROSS 3 and is then equipped with the brand's patented Quicklace lacing system, as well as a durable toe cap and mudguard. Currently available on Salomon.com, the STREETCROSS is being marketed as a reinterpretation of the SPEEDCROSS 3 for the city.
