Nike's Glorious Air Force 1 Goes Dress Shoe Mode in the Best Way
In 2024, Nike revealed it would be cutting back on producing Air Force 1 sneakers. But if anything, it feels like the brand is pushing out even more Air Forces. I'm not complaining, of course. The more Forces, the better, especially when they're looking as fancy as the latest pink pairs.
The Nike Air Force 1 Low sneaker has emerged in a new "Pink Oxford" colorway, which enters the chat with a snazzy aura off the bat. The shoe's uppers feature a melange of extra crisp leather and incredibly creamy suede moments doused in pleasing pink shades.
While the colorway for this particular Air Force 1 is certainly gorgeous, the small details on the shoe really count. Specifically, light pink stitches adds a nifty feature and tasteful contrast to the classic sneaker. At the same time, the Nike Air Force receives a tassel decoration on its laces, sprinkling some formal shoe energy into the latest drop.
Nike's Air Force 1 further fuels the ongoing dressy sneaker craze. Remember how an adidas collaboration transformed the Stan Smith into preppy, tassel-flap steppers? Or when CLOT turned the Superstars into heeled special occasion shoes?
Plus, New Balance turned its techy 1906 dad shoes into full-blown loafer hybrids.
Nike's "Pink Oxford" Air Forces is more quieter approach to the classy sneaker game, set to step into the world during the spring season. And it's not alone.
A second "Light Bone" colorway leaked last year (also with smooth textures and flappy tassels). And like the pink Forces, it is patiently waiting to grace the world with its sophisticated presence.
