Following the release of its shattered MILTYPE collection, maharishi is back with more SS19 offerings, this time the "Somaharishi Festival" capsule, which is a nod to plant-based medicines and Shamanic traditions.

The British streetwear label looked to ancient Hindu texts within the Vedas, a collection of religious texts originating in India, and referencing to the consumption of fungi as a medicine, for the source of their inspiration. The brand said in a press release that in these texts, "‘soma’ is described as an inebriating ritual drink, thought to give divine powers to those who drank it – due to the toxic fungi Amanita Muscaria."

Encompassing button-up shirts, pants, shorts, short and long-sleeve tees, and bandanas, the silhouettes are detailed with graphics and embroideries of the fungi plants including Amanita Muscaria, Peyote, Morning Glory and more.

In addition, the capsule also includes a clean packable parka in tonal iterations of white and orange, which features internal carry straps and packs in to its own pocket with a cross body web strap, to solidify the drop.

The entire collection becomes available beginning April 19, exclusively at maharishi's flagship locations in London and New York, as well as online.
