F40 BURNING FRONT
L'Art de L'Automobile
1 / 2

The day before a viral video uploaded by @smih_carspotting depicting a burning Ferrari F40 erm...blew up, Arthur Kar already had demolished sports cars on his mind. An Instagram post from his brand, L'art de l'automobile, depicted various crashed and burnt vehicles with the caption “Art work by the owners.”

The intent was far from macabre, but a celebration of pushing things to the limit and these vehicles being treated not as precious collectibles,  but powerful objects that should be enjoyed to their fullest extent. Similar to how many sneaker grails actually manage to look even better once they're absolutely cooked, Kar looked at the fiery Ferrari in Monaco as a thing of beauty.

“For me burning cars are like an art piece,”  he says. As sad as he was to see such a beautiful automobile meet its infernal demise, the moment has inspired L'art de l'automobile's latest T-shirt release, which just dropped on their e-shop.

Depicting a fiery logo on the front chest, the back of the tee features an artistic rendition of the burning car, giving a literal meaning to the term “fire T-shirt.” In addition, Kar and company have begun L'Art Radio on Spotify and Apple Music, a new initiative started in isolation. The first iteration includes a playlist inspired by the tee and the charred F40. Of course — the playlist is also pretty fire.
