Lamborghini's Huracán Sterrato Is a Supercar Concept Designed to Go Off-Road
Lamborghini introduces a super sports car for challenging environments with the Huracán Sterrato concept. Part V10 Huracán, part Urus Super SUV, the Huracán Sterrato is an unconventional design that is meant to be fun to drive off-road.
At the core, Lamborghini's intriguing new concept is based on the Huracán EVO, featuring the same 5.2 liter naturally-aspirated engine offering 640 horsepower. The Huracán Sterrato also makes use of the Huracán EVO’s LDVI (Lamborghini Dinamica Veicolo Integrata) with predictive logic to control four-wheel drive, four-wheel steering, modified suspension, and torque vectoring by anticipating the moves of the driver. Furthermore, the LDVI system allows the vehicle to produce more torque, as it is calibrated for off-road driving and tuned to maximize traction and acceleration.
Boasting the framework of a super sports car, the ground clearance of the Huracán Sterrato is heightened by 47 mm. The vehicle then comes with specially-developed larger tires to improve the asperity absorption and grip, while also featuring underbody reinforcements and body protection for adventuring into demanding environments. An off-road LED light package ensures visibility is never an issue, as a roof-mounted LED light bar and LED bumper lights with flood function are included.
Inside the Huracán Sterrato you will find a specially-designed interior trim, four-point seatbelts to the new carbon bi-shell sports seats, aluminum floor panels, and a lightweight titanium roll cage.
