What'd you know? Kylian Mbappé has landed the cover of FIFA once again. Just one look, though, and we can't help but think of Drake's meme-worthy Nothing Was the Same deluxe edition album cover from 2013. Now you see the similarities, don't you?

Back to the news at hand. Mbappé's FIFA 22 nod makes him one of a select few to have received covers for the football game in back-to-back years, joining the likes of icons Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. In speaking on the honor, the France and Paris Saint-Germain forward said, “Being on back-to-back FIFA covers is amazing. I have a very special relationship with the game and look forward to enjoying FIFA 22 alongside all of you.”

In a press release, EA Sports shared that as one of the sport's brightest young stars, Mbappé "perfectly embodies the global FIFA community through his dedication to making a positive impact in the growth of modern football." At this time, however, FIFA 22 itself has yet to be debuted, but you can expect what EA is calling a "game-changing reveal" this weekend on Sunday, July 11. Historically, FIFA titles have released in the fall — generally anywhere from September to November — but anticipate hearing more on the launch with this weekend's footage.
