Kim Jones enlisted some of the biggest names in fashion for his haute couture debut at Fendi this afternoon, as part of Haute Couture Fashion Week.

For those wondering about the distinction, haute couture refers to an extremely exclusive and expensive substratum of high fashion. Translated literally from French, it means “high dressmaking,” and the pieces are created as one-off designs for specific clients where they can fetch for up to millions and millions of dollars. The Wall Street Journal estimates there are a few thousand haute couture clients globally, including Queen Rania of Jordan and Debra Lee, former chairwoman of Black Entertainment Television.

For his first Fendi collection, where he is also heading the women’s ready-to-wear and fur collections, Jones flaunted his new designs on the shoulders of some of fashion’s biggest names (and their offspring) for a live-streamed show. Set around a glass labyrinth of interconnecting Fendi "Fs", the show opened with Demi Moore, followed by Kate Moss (and daughter Lila), Cara Delevingne, Christy Turlington (and her nephew in a men's look), Bella Hadid, Adwoa Aboah, and Naomi Campbell for the closing.

The last time such iconic industry names were all seen on one runway together was during Jones' swan song for Louis Vuitton, which saw Moss and Campbell close the show hand-in-hand with matching trench coats, and before that, probably not since the 1990s.
