And Just Like That, Kim Cattrall Is the Face of Farfetch
We all know that Samatha Jones is the best Sex And The City character – don't argue with me on this – and sadly, And Just Like That just didn't hit the same sans Sam. Kim Cattrall's portrayal of the iconic character will forever be iconic, and who better to front a fashion campaign than the actress herself?
Of course, most of us know Kim's style on the screen – powerful suits, tailored trenchcoats, the red dress – but off-screen, it is just as good.
Taking inspiration from our current obsession with Y2K fashion icons, Farfetch has cast Cattrall in its latest campaign, along with actor Josh Hartnett, Steve Lacy, and María Isabel. Each of the stars have their own story, and their own style, which is highlighted by the retailer through the campaign.
Representing fashion lovers of all ages and backgrounds, the cast represents the Farfetch consumer. "It’s about the freedom to wear what you want, for yourself. Everything is a remix,” said Ronojoy Dam, Senior Global Brand & Culture Director at Farfetch.
The campaign features Kim Cattrall with this season's must-have pieces, including Prada's Triangle bag, an AREA blazer, and more, as well as Steve Lacy wearing labels like Marine Serre and GmbH, and María Isabel also sports Miu Miu's viral mini skirt. Basically, it's the perfect combination of their personal style with the ultimate "it" items from this season.
For those of you who are still upset about the Samantha Jones storyline, the Farfetch campaign really showcases that Cattrall has been just as well off without the spin-off series. In fact, her decision to step away and doing what was right for herself is part of why Farfetch chose her for the campaign. Queen behavior – And Just Like That would've done her dirty with her looks, anyway.
