Kostadinov's latest effort, initially revealed through his Instagram Stories and now detailed in full, is a truly space-age design, one that wouldn't be out of place onboard Jeff Bezos' spaceship as it blasts into orbit. Meet the ASICS GEL-QUANTUM LEVITRACK, a sneaker informed entirely by Kostadinov's next-gen design cues.
While Kostadinov's apparel collections draw from the past, his footwear output represents the future of footwear. The GEL-QUANTUM LEVITRACK, for instance, strays from past chunkiness in favor of a sleek upper that's shaped like some kind of next-gen soccer boot. It's all flowing lines and flashy neon accents, boosting the visual impact of its neutral grey and black base.
Kostadinov also highlighted the heel and outsole in his initial reveal. The former sports ASICS branding and stitched lines that begin at the forefoot, reiterating the shoe's striking color-blocking. The sole, meanwhile, is a different story, informed by gargantuan, cushioned slabs laden with bespoke tooling at their base, really beefing up the otherwise streamlined silhouette.
Offered in three colorways, 10 pairs of each GEL-QUANTUM LEVITRACK are available from July 20 on kikokostadinov.com for an exclusive pre-launch. You'll have to wait until later in the summer for a full release.
