Nike's "Mocha"-Flavored Jordan 5 Sneaker Grabs the Gold
Nike's Air Jordan 5 is having one of the best final quarters of the year as the classic sneaker rakes in secretly good drops and Marvel cameos. And the AJ5's beautiful run of releases just got even better with the release of a new tasty "Earth" colorway.
The latest Jordan 5 sneaker sees traditional cream-white leather meet "Mocha"-flavored "Earth" browns and splashes of metallic gold for a delicious, luxury-level take on Nike's all-time classic model.
And as if the gilded tongue and "shark teeth" midsole didn't scream "rich-tivities" enough, Nike threw in an incredibly cozy tongue and collar for an even more lush feel. Mwah. Perfection.
In 2016, Nike dropped another "Metallic Gold" Jordan 5 — sneakerheads may know them as the "Olympic" 5s — featuring a golden tongue and other shiny details. And they were solid, but those AJ5s weren't nearly as scrumptious as the forthcoming "Earth" pairs, which are objectively beautiful.
The Jordan 5 has lowkey shined in this last half of 2024, soaking in some high-profile cosigns like Tom Hardy's Venom while enjoying several exceptional drops in classic white and black color schemes.
It's enough to make sneakerheads excited for the Jordan 5 releases lined up for 2025 (Psstttt...the legendary "Black Metallic" 5s are coming back next year — prepare yourselves).
But before we dive into the new year, the Jordan 5 sneaker is ending 2024 in the best way. For those wondering, the Jordan 5 "Earth/Metallic Gold" is now available at sneaker stores like Revolve for $200.
Although several sizes have been snatched up already, here's some good news: the "Earth" AJ5 sneaker is expected to get a wider release in January. 2025 is about to be the year of the Jordan 5.
