Dripped in "White Cement," Nike's OG Jordan 4 Gets a Flawless Rebirth
The rap game may have its "Big Three" (although Kendrick Lamar let us know that it's really just him at the top in the internet-breaking song "Like That"). But what about the Air Jordan 4's Big Four?
In 1989, Nike's timeless Jordan 4 sneaker debuted in four unforgettable colorways, including the "Bred," "Fire Red," "Military Blue," and "White Cement." So far into the 2020s, we've seen revivals of the first three sneakers. As we enter 2025, Jordan Brand's 40th anniversary, it's time for the "White Cement" AJ4s to have its moment again.
Yes, nine years since its last retro, the Jordan 4 "White Cement" is back again — and looking wonderfully classic, I'll add.
Early looks of the model reveal a design that looks almost exactly like the OG pairs, from the crisp white leather uppers to the speckled "cement" details to the Nike Air branding on the heel.
It's as if time stood still with the "White Cement" Jordan 4s — in a good way.
At the same time, some of the sneaker's other spots get splashed with those familiar red and black accents, as seen on the original Jordan 4 sneaker and the re-releases that followed (those golfing versions, too), quietly and slightly changing history.
The "White Cement" colorway has also had the pleasure of gracing the Jordan 3 model, resulting in yet another timeless Jordan shoe.
In 2023, Nike brought the model back through its "Reimagined" line with beautiful aged detailing speaking to its classic status.
The born-again Jordan 4 "White Cement" is scheduled to make its return in May.
Sure, it's a couple of months away, but these early looks at the clean revival make the wait well worth it.
