adidas is renewing one of its more celebrated partnerships of the 2000s and 2010s, today announcing the revival of Jeremy Scott x adidas Originals. Confirmation comes as rumors surrounding the potential realignment had been circulating in recent weeks, as adidas took to Instagram to put the speculation to rest once and for all by proclaiming, "It's official: Jeremy's back."

Scott originally teamed up with adidas in 2003, going on to design for the brand until 2015. Over the years, he would lend his signature playful and vibrant style to the sportswear company, being responsible for some of the most eye-catching sneakers of the 2000s and beyond. Having amassed a cult-like following that included numerous celebrities such as A$AP Rocky — who has shouted out the designer in numerous songs — Scott's footwear designs, in particular, quickly reached grail status. Those old enough to remember no doubt have vivid images of his shoes adorned with stuffed animals — à la the JS Bear, JS Poodle, and JS Gorilla — in addition to the JS Bones and his most iconic of all, the JS Wings.

“Partnering again with adidas feels like a homecoming and I’m thrilled to be home,” he said in a recent statement, going on to add on Instagram, "YA BOY IS BACK ! THE RUMORS ARE TRUE ! IVE REIGNITED MY PARTNERSHIP WITH @adidasoriginals AND WILL BE RELEASING NEW DESIGNS TO GET YOUR HEART RACING AND YOUR FEET DANCING ONCE AGAIN !"

As a creative collaborator, Jeremy Scott will work on an ongoing series of projects in the seasons to come, reimagining adidas footwear, apparel, and accessories like only he can. You can look forward to the first series of new products arriving in Fall 2021. In the meantime, press play on the video below for a peek back at some of the designer's best adi silhouettes.
