To celebrate Vivienne Westwood’s Spring/Summer 2020 Paris runway presentation, premium spirits shop INKD teams up with the brand’s creative director Andreas Kronthaler and top-shelf rapper favorite CÎROC vodka to create a custom bottle.

Designed by Kronthaler himself, the glass façade nods to Vivienne Westwood’s countercultural roots. The brand’s iconic orb logo is scribbled on the neck of the bottle. The fiery red “Let It Rock!” statement graphic, which appears as if scrawled in lipstick, was originally designed in 1971 alongside Westwood’s former partner and manager of the Sex Pistols, Malcolm McLaren. A love heart and the ‘Andreas Kronthaler for Vivienne Westwood’ logo stamped at the bottom, round out the details.

At the start of their relationship, McLaren owned the boutique “Let It Rock” on 430 Kings Road in the Chelsea district of London where he and then-school teacher Westwood sold 1950s Rock n Roll records, memorabilia, and Teddy boy-styled clothing. The storefront underwent several more reinventions: the 1960s rock-inspired Too Fast to Live, Too Young to Die, to the fetishwear-stocked SEX that counted the four original members of the Sex Pistols among their clientele, to punk-inflected Seditionaries, and to its final iteration in 1979 World’s End that had an interior like the deck of a galleon ship. Throughout the shop's many lives, McLaren and Westwood subverted the trends at the time and amassed public curiosity for their transgressive fusion of outsider fashion and music.

This is the radical legacy that INKD, CÎROC, and Kronthaler intend to commemorate with an exclusive run of limited edition bottles, recently launched at their Paris fashion week party.

In the past, INKD has made a name for itself partnering with of-the-moment cultural icons and hyped brands like Palace, Moschino, and Selfridges to turn world-class luxury spirits into collectible art.

It’s vodka, but make it designer. Vivienne Westwood x CÎROC produced by INKD is exclusively available from tomorrow 1pm BST on www.getinkd.com until stock lasts.
