Humanrace

Remember last year when Pharrell told us it is essential to shower twice a day? We certainly do, because that's when his label Humanrace first entered into the realm of body care.

The label's Body Bars sold out in less than 24-hours, and joining the lineup today is the new Humidifying Body Cream.

Developed together with Pharrell's longtime dermatologist, as well as Humanrace's Chief Dermatologist, the product is a dream. Using the rare bodycare ingredient Bakuchiol, the product is a natural alternative to retinol, meaning that it smoothes the skin, fights dehydration, and improves effects of sun damage. This ain't your regular moisturizer, that's for sure.

"We want you to have the full routine for your body so you can take the time to care for your body as you would your face," said Humanrace president Rachel Muscat, adding, "After we won numerous awards for the Humidifying Face Cream, we knew we needed to take that same philosophy and turn it into a body cream. The Humidifying Body Cream is the third step in the routine, giving you ultra-hydration."

In addition to the Bakuchiol, the moisturizer also includes Peptide and Snow Mushroom Extract, which helps to strengthen the skin barrier.

"I’m excited about the face-grade ingredients we’ve included that you can use on your body, we want you to treat your body well, and we want you to have a routine for yourself each day. What is a couple of minutes out of your day to focus on yourself and your wellbeing? We believe that by taking that time, you discover it’s more than just taking care of your body, but of your mental wellbeing as well," Muscat continues.

But developing products is not always easy, especially with a mission that involves using clean ingredients.

"By going down the road of clean formulations, it can take us longer to get the product right since we must think creatively about the ingredients we can use. Quality is everything to us, so we really spend the time to make sure we’re not compromising anything. We have a strict no-list of ingredients as a brand, including being vegan and cruelty-free."

"We formulate to European Standards from the start which eliminates about 1,300 ingredients. I spent seven years living in Germany where I grew to understand and really respect the standards Europe holds within the skincare industry," Rachel finishes, emphasizing the importance of creating quality product that really does what it sets out to do.

The new Humanrace Humidifying Body Cream is available to purchase starting March 31, and retails at $54 USD on the Humanrace website. Act fast if you want to snag one, because last drop sold out instantly.
