Hedi Slimane has revealed an insight into his cinematic sensibilities via a curated list of films to watch in lockdown, which will be available for free on streaming site Mubi for a 30-day period.

The artistic director of Celine and fashion photographer has selected 10 films for fashion lovers to watch while in quarantine in collaboration with the streaming service, which specializes in cult, classic and indie movies.

Better still, Slimane and Mubi have teamed up to make sure you can watch these films without spending a dime, offering you first 30 days on the site for free. For fashion buffs looking for preoccupation during this extended time indoors, Slimane's suggestions might just be the perfect binge content.

Slimane's list includes a wide span of films, including the vintage horror film Night Tide, Francis Ford Coppola's cult classic Apocalypse Now, Michelangelo Antonioni's existential drama Red Desert, and Le Cercle Rouge, a 1970 Franco-Italian crime movie starring Alain Delon and Yves Montand.

As we all have plenty of time on our hands, you can use quarantine as an excuse to watch Hedi Slimane's suggested lockdown flicks. Simply head to Mubi’s website to sign up and start watching. Not sure where to begin? Peruse some of the titles from Slimane's movie list below.

Laurence Anyways (2012)

Xavier Dolan's romantic drama Laurence Anyways tells the impossibly heartbreaking story of love between a woman named Fred (Frédérique) and a transgender woman named Laurence (then living as a man). The passionate and powerful movie challenges heteronormative conceptions of love, captured in Dolan's signature lyrical style.

The 400 Blows (1959)

The 400 Blows is a 1959 French New Wave drama film, and the directorial debut of François Truffaut. The story follows the adventure of a 13-year-old boy and is based on Truffaut's own adolescence. A perfect binge watch for those nostalgic quarantine days.

Paris, Texas (1984)

Wim Wenders' road movie is perfect if you're craving a (figurative) escape. Paris, Texas focuses on a vagabond named Travis who, after mysteriously wandering out of the desert, searches for his brother and son.

Charade (1963)

Charade is an American romantic comedy mystery film directed by Stanley Donen, starring Hollywood icons Audrey Hepburn and Cary Grant. In the film, romance and suspense unfold in Paris as a woman is pursued by several men who want a fortune her murdered husband had stolen. This is like James Bond, but with better repartee and if the Bond Girl had an intellectual role.
