HBO's controversial, penis-laden high school drama Euphoria has quickly become a hit following its premiere last month, and now HBO has renewed it for a second season.

Euphoria creator Sam Levinson has built an incredible world with an extraordinary cast led by the supremely talented Zendaya,” HBO executive vice president of programming Francesca Orsi wrote in a press statement. “We are so grateful that he chose HBO as the home for this groundbreaking series. We look forward to following these complex characters as their journeys continue through the challenging world they inhabit.”

Only half of the Zendaya-led show's eight-episode first season has aired so far, but it's already projected to be an immense success for HBO. Euphoria is the TV titan's first teen drama and as such is drawing in a younger audience than the network usually gets. This audience is also reported to be growing week-on-week, with last Sunday's episode drawing 609,000 viewers. So it seems the Euphoria train won't be slowing down any time soon.
