Double Tap to Zoom

In the wake of Game of Thrones and hit miniseries Chernobyl, HBO is readying the premiere of a brand new show. It's the network's first dedicated teen drama, it's called Euphoria, it's produced by Drake, it stars Zendaya, and it's all anybody seems to be talking about.

Beyond the Zendaya/Drake/HBO factor, a lot of the buzz is down to the number of dicks seen in the show. So many, in fact, that HBO apparently cut about 80 out of one locker room scene in the second episode because there were too many. And this is HBO. That doesn't mean there's no nudity though, according to The Hollywood Reporter, there are still 30 full-frontal flashes in one episode.

"There are going to be parents who are going to be totally fucking freaked out," show creator Sam Levinson told THR. Which seems about right as Parents Television Council president Tim Winter said that the series "appears to be overtly, intentionally marketing extremely graphic adult content — sex, violence, profanity and drug use — to teens and preteens."

However, despite all the graphic content, HBO programming president Casey Bloys insists, "It's not sensational to be sensational." The show promises an unfiltered look at the lives of young people, including drug use, sex, and violence, with cast member Maude Apatow (daughter of Judd) calling it "a good insight into how hard it is to grow up in this time."

Euphoria premieres on HBO this Sunday. Revisit the trailer below.
