With so many awesome releases being promoted at the 2018 E3 Expo, there are plenty of reasons for gamers everywhere to get hyped. While the first few days offered glimpses of Halo Infinite, Just Cause 4, and The Last of Us Part II, this is perhaps the most exciting update so far — at least it is if you're a Nintendo Switch owner.

We predicted a few weeks ago that Nintendo would rule the roost at E3 this year, and its presentation certainly and nothing to change our minds.

Here are all the major games coming to the Nintendo Switch in 2018.

'Mario Party' updated with Switch-specific features

Yep, that's right. Mario Party is coming to Nintendo Switch, and this latest version — Super Mario Party — boasts a Switch-specific multiplayer feature. Now you can play in groups of four, with characters able to move across devices.

Per the official description, other gaming elements have been kicked up a notch, too, such as individual characters getting their own specific Dice Blocks, Joy-Con controller-enabled mini-games, and new multiplayer functions including the aforementioned four-player mode.

'Fortnite' is available for Switch now

Fortnite has been available on iOS since mid-March, and now it's finding another home on the Switch, Epic Games has announced. Available for digital download as of 5 p.m. EST yesterday, now Nintendo Switch owners can get in on the action PS4, Xbox One, PC, Mac, and mobile users have been enjoying for the past few months.

According to Epic’s announcement, the gaming experience will be exactly the same, with the Switch addition not featuring any console-specific upgrades. There is, however, the option to cross-play between Xbox One, PC, Mac, and mobile, although PlayStation has blocked this option.

'Hollow Knight' is finally here

Hollow Knight's drop came as a welcome surprise for those who've been awaiting the indie game's arrival since the game was announced in January 2017.

The game is all hand-drawn in a classic 2D style and takes place in beautiful, brightly colored ruined kingdom. As you traverse through twisted caverns, forgotten highways, broken cities, and overgrown wilds, you're tasked with befriending bizarre bugs and battling tainted creatures, which you must take down in order to complete your quest.

'Dragon Ball FighterZ' is coming later this year

The many Dragon Ball universe characters who star in anime fighter Dragon Ball FighterZ are heading to the Switch later this year, Nintendo has confirmed.

The game boasts stunning art paired with intense action sequences. The brawls, which feel like the TV show brought to life, comprise characters squaring up for three vs. three matches. For more competitive players, the Switch version allows players to fight with the single Joy-Con or Pro Controller.

'Super Smash Bros. Ultimate' is about to take over the world

One of Nintendo's biggest franchises is making its way to the Switch just before Christmas this year. And as well as including every character previously released, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate adds new faces to the mix, such as Inkling Girl, Inkling Boy, and Metroid’s Ridley.

One particularly cool update is that you're now able to choose a stage before you select your character. So not only can you make your character/stage situation more aesthetically pleasing, you can now cater your character choice to the level you're playing on.

Elsewhere, Ninja wins $1 million at 'Fortnite' Pro-Am tournament

As well as the huge game drops, the first ever Epic Games Fortnite Pro-Am also took place during E3 in front of a live audience. With 600,000 viewers on Twitch, the E3 Expo pitted 50 pro Fortnite players and Twitch streamers against 50 celebrities, all of whom battled it out for a share of the $3 million charity prize pool and a Golden Pickaxe trophy.

Twitch streamer Tyler “Ninja” Blevins came out on top, bagging a $1 million prize that will be donated to charity.
