The E3 2018 gaming expo has arrived and if you're not excited about this year's updates and new releases, you ought to be. Monday was day one of the annual gaming show and as expected, many major announcements were delivered.

Among the day's events, developer Bethesda confirmed fans predictions regarding the next Fallout game, sharing an action-packed trailer and much-needed information on the forthcoming Fallout ’76.

Elsewhere, fans of the Dragon Ball series were treated to an all-in anime-mashup gaming experience, while Microsoft made a compelling case for the Xbox One with the latest installment of its Halo franchise.

'Cyberpunk 2077' Is an Open World RPG Set in a Futuristic Metropolis

Back in January 2013, developers CD Projekt Red (the makers of The Witcher 3) teased the arrival of Cyberpunk 2077. At this year's Microsoft's E3 keynote, the group revealed a new trailer for the RPG, adapted from the tabletop game Cyberpunk 2020.

The follow-up, set fifty-seven years later in the same dystopian universe, will see players assume the role of 'V' in Night City, California. While no new live-action gameplay is available, a second trailer revealed significant design improvements and an emphasis on single-player action.

The description for the YouTube trailer revealed the game will be "narrative-driven," following the contractual obligations of V, "In a world of cyber-enhanced street warriors, tech-savvy netrunners, and corporate life-hackers."

Fans of the Cyberpunk series should be aware the followup was already licensed to Microsft Windows, but further confirmation noted its arrival for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

Here's Your First Look at 'Fallout 76'

Bethesda kicked off E3 2018 with an important announcement regarding Fallout ’76. Prior to confirmations, fans had already suspected that the game would be the earliest in the franchise and correct they are; the gaming giant announced that ’76 will prequel all other Fallout games.

At Microsoft's Xbox One event, Bethesda noted that the game will be an online-only multiplayer experience, around four times the size of Fallout 4. While servers are expected to hold up to 36 players at a time; the developer also stressed the game can be played solo.

That being said, the new gameplay trailer emphasizes the importance of building a friendship base in the immediate aftermath of nuclear warfare. Early looks show players banding together to cooperatively defeat giant monsters and potentially hostile players. Unlike prior releases, death is not the be all end all, meaning players can take risks with gameplay.

Bethesda's Todd Howard noted the game is "Set in the hills of West Virginia," where players will be the first to emerge into a very different and untamed wasteland." Fallout ’76 will be released November 14.

For now all we have is this teaser trailer, but we're not complaining. Here's what we know: the highly-anticipated next chapter in the iconic The Elder Scrolls series is currently in pre-production at Bethesda Game Studios, the acclaimed developers of Skyrim and Fallout 4.

Here's Your First Look at 'Halo Infinite'

Microsoft shared its latest Halo entry at the E3 2018 trade show. The forthcoming Halo Infinite was treated with an announcement trailer featuring a quick look of Master Chief in his latest endeavor to save humanity.

Early insights were at best demos, sadly no gameplay demonstrations, but, still, it appears as though "years of work" has gone into the project, according to the developer, 343.

Microsoft and 343 noted that the game will be powered by a new and improved, "Slipspace Engine." The technology will not only allegedly improve gameplay but it said to power the Xbox One and Windows 10.

Details around its release, whether its a single or multiplayer game and the nature of combat have been kept under wraps. Yet, 343 kept fans on edge, writing, the game was inspired by the "most iconic and historic parts of the Halo franchise," in addition to feedback from fans.

'Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice' Is the Samurai Action RPG You've Been Waiting For

Developed by the studio responsible for Dark Souls and Bloodborne, FromSoftware's latest action game, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is a Japanse-inspired affair likely to make a huge splash.

The fantasy Samurai game will be published by Activision, functioning as a third-person action game filled with fast-paced, hands-on combat. Set in the late 1500s, the game revolves around a vengeful ninja with a prosthetic arm, out for blood.

As expected, early teasers have limited footage of actual gameplay, yet early teasers did reveal brutal tete-a-tete competition, sword and ninja skills all set against the backdrop of Sengoku Japan.

The game is expected to arrive in 2019.

Terry Crews Destroys Everything in New 'Crackdown 3' Trailer

It's been a trobled process for Microsoft's Crackdown 3. Originally scheduled to drop in the summer of 2016, issues behind the scenes saw the game's due date continually pushed back, tandem with lukewarm receptions at last year's E3 conference.

Nevertheless, this year's expo is seemingly only board to shine a light on its development, with a new release date and trailer.

As seen above, the neon-tinged city lays home to a competitive co-operative game, in which up to four players battle enemies with high octane weapons and vehicles.

The trailer focuses on Terry Crews' character who can be seen running and shooting. The game will now launch February 2019.

'Kingdom Hearts 3' Brings Disney's Frozen to Life

The Xbox E3 2018 briefing showcased the most recent trailer for Kingdom Hearts 3. Taking on several Disney produced animations, prior visuals included the anthropomorphic animals Goofy and Donald Duck, adventure Tangled, and now, the icy landscapes of Frozen.

Exclusive gameplay footage revealed action sequences including Frozen's Elsa and Rapunzel alongside Kingdom Hearts 2 character, Larxene of Organization XIII.

Other Disney and Pixar affiliates include are Wreck it Ralph, Big Hero Six, Toy Story, and Monster's Inc .

Kingdom Hearts III will be available to purchase January 29, 2019, for Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

'Dragon Ball', 'One Piece' & 'Naruto' Collide in Anime Brawler 'Jump Force'

Popular characters from the Shonen Jump series will soon battle it out in Microsoft's new game Jump Force. For its release, Bandai Namco has partnered with the Japanese publisher to feature the likes of Dragon Ball's Goku, Naruto, and One Piece 's Luck Roo.

The game is set up as a 3-on-3 tag team, meaning players will have to choose their favorite characters to fight with. Battle locations include New York's Time Square and the Alps.

Jump Force will be released in 2019 on Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

Here's Your First Look at 'Gears 5'

After acquiring the rights to the Gears of War series in 2014, Microsoft is now setting the bar for the franchise its biggest entry to date, Gears 5.

Despite a change in title, the footage for the forthcoming game proves to be an epic experience. Players will now retain control of Kait Diaz who appeared in the previous Gears game.

Haunted by the death of a character, Diaz starts having unexplained visions and dreams, likely related to her inherited Locust Horde necklace.

In an attempt to battle with her internal demons, Diaz embarks on a journey of her own, promising bloody combat and warfare. The trailer marks 2019 as its arrival date for Windows 10 and Xbox One.

'Metro Exodus' Forces You to Brave Post-Apocalyptic Russia

Based on the series of novels from Russian author Dmitry Glukhovsky, Metro Exodus is the lastest in the nuclear-survivor war games from developers 4A Games.

The latest iteration marks a big challenge to first-person shooter games, with updated weaponry and new locations on offer. 4A's most recent trailer includes a protagonist escaping on a steam engine, not before battling sea monsters and other impending enemies.

Fans of the series can expect to start playing February 22, 2019.

'Anthem' Is One Thing We Really Hope EA Doesn't Screw Up

There's not much info available on Anthem at the moment, so here's the video's description:

"On a world left unfinished by the gods, humanity struggles to survive in a savage environment. Equipped with incredible Javelin exosuits, a faction known as the Freelancers seeks to tip the balance in mankind’s favor"

Imagine if Destiny, Borderlands & Nier: Automata had a baby, it might develop and grow to look something like Anthem. Made by Bioware, cooperative gameplay is really the selling point for Anthem. The game is scheduled for a February 22, 2019 release date.

'Battlefield 5' Is Getting a Battle Royale Mode, Here's Your First Look at Multiplayer

With Battlefield V, the series goes back to its roots with a never-before-seen portrayal of World War 2. In the campaign, you'll be able to assemble a Company of customized soldiers, weapons, and vehicles – then take them on an epic journey through "the most intense, immersive Battlefield yet."

Meanwhile, Battlefield V multiplayer looks to deliver an unmatched scale of all-out war with classic modes like Conquest alongside new experiences like Grand Operations, where you'll participate in vast battles across multiple maps – and modes – while fighting your way to the final objective.

During the EA Play press conference, DICE announced a Battlefield 5 battle royale mode, saying it's "royale re-imagined for Battlefield," and it'll come after launch.

4A Games Rival Popular 'Skate' Series With 'Session'

In a step away from combat, war and brutal action is a new game by Montreal-based developer Crea-ture Studios, titled Session.

During Xbox's E3 briefing, Crea-ture explored the game's successful Kickstarter campaign, detailing its upcoming arrival to Xbox One and PC late 2018. Session is a dual-analog stick controls system, which notably drew in fans for the Skate series.

It's additional Filmer mode will allow players to record and share their tricks online. Inspired by ’90s VHS trick videos, users will also have room to edit their footage.
