Drake followed up his promise of new music with “Laugh Now Cry Later” featuring Lil Durk, which the Toronto native dropped alongside visuals shot entirely at Nike’s Beaverton headquarters. The music video goes a long way to re-establish Drake’s relationship with the Swoosh, and might have even given us a glimpse at an upcoming Drake x Nike sneaker.

The mystery kicks are seen about 20 seconds into the video, as Drake steps out of the Maybach he rolls up to the Nike campus in. The sneakers are all white with an exposed Air bubble at the heel and perforations on what looks like a leather upper. Drake originally signed with the Swoosh in 2013 and collaborated on several Jordan Brand silhouettes in the years following. In 2018, however, he was approached by — and reportedly came very close to signing with — adidas. Drake was seen wearing Three Stripes regularly on Instagram, before the rumored move fell through.

Since then, Drake has been wearing Nike exclusively again, however, an announcement that the two parties have continued their partnership in an official capacity has not been made just yet.

Recently, rumors emerged of an OVO-branded Air Force 1 collaboration, while Drake’s latest “Laugh Now Cry Later” visuals suggest we could be seeing an official Drake x Nike link up at some point in the near future.
