Editor’s Notes: Italian designer Danilo Paura explores the concept of "adaptation" for Spring/Summer 2020. Presented at Milan Fashion Week SS20, Paura looks towards Italy's clothing history, which includes everything from production methods to fabrics, and gives them an updated twist.

A further inspiration for this season is abstract expressionist American painter Mark Rothko whose "multiform" paintings act as reference point for the color palette throughout the collection. This influence is most apparent in the suiting options that feature opposing colorways (generally referred to as "color-blocking" in fashion). This effect is enhanced with the materials used throughout including nylon, silk, velvet and tencel.
