Cristiano Ronaldo's Mega-Expensive Franck Muller Watch Is All Sorts of Cringe
When you're the first footballer to bank $1 billion, you can certainly afford the finer things in life. For Cristiano Ronaldo, this means watches, among other things, and a whole lot of them.
This week Ronaldo took to Instagram to show off his one-of-one Franck Muller Cintree Tourbillon worth a cool $1.5 million. Sure, the watch costs more than most houses, but it's just — well — tasteless. There's a reason influential watch publication HODINKEE virtually never covers Franck Muller, because while being absurdly expensive, the watches are downright gaudy.
Unfortunately, however, this is nothing new for CR7. He simply has an affinity for lavish, over-the-top things. And when you're raking in $105 million a year, you can easily afford whatever outlandish toy you want.
Ronaldo's Franck Muller Cintree Tourbillon is one of his many watches, as he also sports designs by Rolex, Richard Mille, Hublot, Jacob & Co., Bulgari, and Breguet from time to time.
It really is a shame all that money can't buy good taste. But hey, we still love you, CR7. Keep doing your thing on the pitch.
