BROCKHAMPTON's 'iridescence' Debuts at Number 1 on the Billboard Charts
BROCKHAMPTON's new album iridescence made its debut at number 1 on the Billboard 200 charts. The All-American boy band's fourth studio album launched with 101,000 equivalent album units earned in the week ending Sept. 27, according to Nielsen Music, of which 79,000 were in album sales.
The remainder of the 101,000 equivalent albums units were comprised of streaming equivalent album units (22,000) and track equivalent albumsunits (a negligible figure). Its first week album sales were also bolstered by merch and album bundles.
iridesecence is BROCKHAMPTON's first full-length released since signing to RCA Records for $15 million earlier this year. It's also the group's first project since the departure of founding member Ameer Vann.
BROCKHAMPTON has been celebrating the release of their latest album with music videos for "New Orleans", "San Marcos", and "J'ouvert."
