The BMW M5 celebrates its 35th anniversary with the introduction of the limited-run M5 Edition 35 Years. The elegant new sedan, based on the M5 Competition, gets an exclusive matte Frozen Dark Grey II paint job and an attractive interior trim, as well as a new digital gauge cluster.

The 20-inch wheels carry through from the M5 Competition, however, they've been painted Graphite Grey, while the brake calipers are done up in a new gloss-black color. Lastly, the BMW has removed the badging from the trunk lid.

The interiors are certainly something to celebrate. The black merino leather with special beige contrast stitching is a standout feature, as is the gold trim on the center console, dashboard, and door panels, which BMW describe as a “shimmering gold anodized aluminum carbon structure.”

It comes with the Executive and M Driver's packages as standard, 10.3-inch central display, and the same 617 horsepower and 553 lb-ft of torque as the regular M5 Competition.

It's priced at $128,995, which is $17,000 more expensive than a 2019 M5 Competition. You'll need to be quick though, as only 350 will be built, and just 35 will come to America.
