Welcome to Face Value, Highsnobiety’s monthly guide to the best new beauty products and the brands behind them.

It's December, which likely means you're scrambling to finish your holiday shopping — a task that, somehow, always results in several new entries on your personal wishlist. There's no shame in buying yourself a gift (or three) and luckily, our favorite beauty brands are ready with a slate of new releases to pick from.

From Hailey Bieber's cinnamon roll Lip Tint to Marissa Zappas' perfume advent calender, these are the November beauty drops worth adding to cart.

Fur - Control Kit

Fur, purveyor of body hair care, has put together an elegant kit for styling your strands, anywhere they happen to grow. Comprised of a nourishing pomade, scissors, a dual-end brush, and a fine-toothed comb, the Control Kit can be used all over — on brows, flyaways, and beyond.

Rhode - Cinnamon Roll Peptide Lip Tint

Hailey Bieber's beloved Rhode Beauty is back with a limited-edition version of its Peptide Lip Tint. Meet Cinnamon Roll, a shimmery golden brown that's a tasty follow-up to Rhode's donut-inspired lip tint, created in collaboration with Krispy Kreme.

Julie - Cold Sore Treatment

Julie, the brand working to de-stigmatize emergency contraception, is tackling a new taboo: cold sores. Packaged like a beauty product versus a medicated cream, Julie Cold Sore Treatment is formulated with the same FDA-approved active ingredient, Docosanol, as cold sore competitors like Abreva and Equate — but Julie is far less clinical-looking than its peers, making reapplication in public more comfortable.

Earlier this month, we chatted with Julie Co-Founder Amanda E/J Morrison about the brand's expansion, as well as harmful cold sore myths.

Moon Juice - Sleepy Magnesi-Om

Moon Juice released a new version of its best-selling Magnesi-Om powder, the main ingredient in TikTok's viral "Sleepy Girl Mocktail" — a before-bed concoction said to help drinkers fall asleep faster.

Featuring a subtle cherry flavor, the new version is formulated with both magnesium, which some studies have associated with longer sleep time and less daytime tiredness, and melatonin, a compound that helps maintain the body's Circadian rhythm. Mix it with sparkling water and a splash of juice for a relaxing, booze-free nightcap.

Marissa Zappas - Advent Calendar

Marissa Zappas, the cult favorite independent perfumer crafting scents inspired by Elizabeth Taylor and Swan Lake, has the perfect present for fragheads: an advent calendar featuring nearly every fragrance she's made, plus a mystery scent.
