It’s been a weird year for everything, but sports have felt the impact of COVID in a big way. What used to be games played in front of tens of thousands of screaming fans are now reduced to something resembling a pick-up game. Garnering a record-low 5.9 million viewers, the All-Star Game may not have had the impact it usually has on the hardwood, but the players made up for it with some fire fits in the process.

Fashion has played a central role in the NBA for many years, but recently the focus on players’ style has hit fever pitch, becoming a platform for the athletes to express themselves creatively and politically. What’s more, with names as big as Louis Vuitton dropping a dedicated NBA capsule collection, fashion in the NBA has never looked healthier.

In basketball, no platform is bigger than the NBA All-Star Weekend, so the players had to show up. We’ve picked out three of the most memorable outfits of the All-Star Weekend, ranging from transparent Vêtements outerwear modeled by James Harden to a sharp Saint Laurent look for Steph Curry.

Jayson Tatum

One of the most explosive young talents in the NBA at the moment is undoubtedly Jayson Tatum. The triple-threat scorer’s talents aren’t limited to the court, either.

This outfit represents the changing face of NBA style which is maturing by the season. A highlight houndstooth woolen jacket steals the show and echoes the checkerboard Louis Vuitton duffle bag. Tailored trousers lead the eye to the Air Jordan 1 Low Shattered Backboards on foot to give the sharp outfit a less formal finish.

James Harden

James Harden might have taken the trophy for the most striking outfit of the weekend with this one, and on reflection, it’s actually quite understated. It’s a well-balanced outfit that relies on a pared-back foundational palette.

Grey jeans and a white tee form the basis while a long, transparent Vêtements coat offers an intriguing silhouette that doesn't miss. To round out the ensemble, Harden opted for some highlighter green Louis Vuitton sneakers.

Stephen Curry

Stephen Curry had a bumper weekend, putting on a show in the three-point contest and testing his mind-blowing range in the All-Star Game. He tested his range during the walk-in, too. Saint Laurent took care of Curry’s look with a wool varsity jacket in teal blue, slim black jeans, and a pair of polished leather Chelsea boots.
