After 75 days, 108,000 minutes, and 6,480,000 lonely seconds, the football season is finally returning across Europe this coming weekend.

The English Premier League, Bundesliga, and Ligue 1 all get underway this Friday, with Serie A and La Liga following suit one week later.

Friday’s EPL opener between Patrick Viera’s Crystal Palace and Arsenal will see a 2022/23 season that’s set to be one of the most exciting in years commence, after a transfer window comprising the usual merry-go-round of transfers has seen most of the top teams strengthen since their last league outing.

Reigning Champions Manchester City have secured the services of Norwegian big lad Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund, although the loss of Raheem Sterling and Gabriel Jesus to Chelsea and Arsenal respectively, won't be easy to replace.

Jürgen Klopp’s Liverpool side – who are arguably the biggest threat to City’s title defence – have lost a big name too in Sadio Mané, although the signing of 23 year old Uruguayan striker Darwin Núñez from Benfica has surely softened the blow.

Across the continent, questions still linger over whether Barcelona will rediscover its mojo after a season of lagging behind Real Madrid, whether Paris Saint-Germain will finally win a Champions League, or whether AC Milan's Scudetto win was just a one-off. It's safe to say it's an exciting time all round.

But, while the title contenders of each league and cup competition might be all be guesswork at this stage, the sartorial choices of each club for the forthcoming 2022/23 season have been revealed and, in typical Highsnobiety fashion, we’ve selected a handful of our favorites.

Juventus (Home)

"As an Arsenal fan, this is a bit of a blasphemous choice, but choosing your own team is the easy option, right? Third kit far, far aside, Juventus has some of the season's coldest kits. The lightning bolts filling the sponsor logo are enough to set these apart from most teams, but the graphics on this version of the home kit is my favorite interpretation of the team's classic stripes so far. It's both classic and futuristic, and I'm all over it." - Sam Cole, Style Writer

Everton (Away)

"This season, I’m definitely gravitating towards most team’s away kit. For me, Everton’s baby pink and navy blue Hummel top is a clear winner — and no, it’s not because I’m a girl. Liverpool’s away kit is a close second, and Arsenal’s third kit also deserves a mention. Kits are getting much more creative and experimental, and I’m loving the use of color and patterns to make it a little more fun. Go a little crazy and step outside of the box, even if it’s not everyone’s cup of tea." - Tora Northman, Tik Tok Manager

AS Roma (Home)

"I’ve always been a fan of AS Roma kits, but thanks to their long-time partnership with skin-tight specialists Kappa, I was never going to pull it off. Luckily their latest coalition with New Balance delivers something a little more forgiving, and their traditional red and yellow 2022/23 home kit is undoubtedly the pick of the bunch. I mean, look at that little single button FGS." - Tayler Willson, Style Writer

Manchester City (Home)

"It genuinely hurts me to be doing this, but I can't deny how much I'm feeling City's home kit. The team's second and third kits have been pretty strong in recent seasons, while the home strip has been left a bit boring. 2022/23 sees a change there. I love how vintage this design feels — the introduction of the dark red to the neckline and sleeves works so well with the main blue. If it wasn't a Man City kit, you might even get away with wearing this one in your day-to-day." - Alek Rose, Branded Shopping Editor

Liverpool (Away)

"I'm a Tottenham diehard, but I must be trippin' because I can't stop drooling all over Liverpool's away kit this season. The psychedelic number features an iridescent squiggly pattern inspired by music, and according to The Reds, is "funky" and "saucy," two keywords I can vibe with." - Elaine YJ Lee, Senior Editor

Arsenal (Third)

"We're aiming for a big season at Arsenal, and big ambitions deserve big kits. I think anyone, regardless of team affiliations, would really struggle to argue that Arsenal hasn't got the strongest kit lineup of the season. The pink third kit is beautiful, adidas has got the tone perfect, and the contrasts elevate it further. Better yet, it's got plenty of geezer's knickers in a twist – 'cause boys can't wear pink, can they lads?" - Sam Cole, Style Writer

England Women's (Home)

"Okay, not technically one for the new season, but for me this can't do unmentioned. With such an incredible historical moment that just happened in women's football, and women's sport at large, in fact, I feel nothing but empowerment and extreme proudness to be wearing this piece." - Rhianna Matthews, Curation Manager

Venezia FC (Away)

"No kit round-up would be complete without mentioning "the world's most fashionable football club" in Venezia FC, and picking my favorite for 2022/23 is honestly like picking my favorite child, if I had any. At a push I’m opting for the away kit, which has a simple white base and thin orange and green stripes, making for a design arguably too good for the pitch. I mean, I’d wear this on a night out – which is more than I could say for almost any other kit, aside from the Venezia home jersey (and the third tbh)." - Tayler Willson, Style Writer
