Sometimes our favorite collaborative projects elude us. More often than not, hype sees that product has long sold out before we get a chance to secure some for ourselves; however, with regional exclusives, we never even had the opportunity to try. Such as the story of Barbour's past collaborative efforts with and wander.

If you've been paying attention to and wander's evolution over the years, you'll likely be familiar with their past interactions with Barbour. Uniting for a handful of capsule collections, the pair's gear has remained elusive in the west due to its exclusivity to Japanese markets.

Thanks to the strength of their co-created products, which have done well to balance their heavily contrasting design languages, each release has been met with great demand, which has intensified its desirability further afield.

Fortunately, FW22 marks a new beginning in their journey, as their first seasonal collaboration nestles into the walls of western retailers, including a natural home on Barbour's webstore.

Barbour x and wander is a collaboration in the truest sense; no logo flips or simple graphic blasts exist here; instead, a marriage of both brands' most iconic lines births pieces that are flawlessly unique.

As is standard for both brands in the mix, outerwear serves the collection's foundation.

Front and center is the Barbour x and wander 3L jacket, which essentially recreates the 1980 Bedale using the blueprint of and wander's Pertex Shield jacket. The resulting piece features the Bedale's large statement pockets alongside the reflective detailing and taped seams that characterize many of and wander's outerwear pieces.

For a longer-length option ready to tackle the gloom and doom of a British winter, the Insu is a fleece-lined ripstop jacket that balances heat retention and breathability.

Alongside outerwear, the collection includes additional apparel and accessories (which are available online now), including the casual Pivot jacket, the Tartan Shirt, a fleece top and pants set, Splits cargo pants, a backpack, two crossbody bag options, and a bucket hat.
