Fred Perry
1 / 2

British counterculture meets Japanese streetwear as Fred Perry and BAPE reunite for a second collaboration, following a debut link-up back in 2021.

Like it did before, BAPE has taken on a slew of epochal Fred Perry styles like the polo shirt, taped track jacket, and hooded sweaters, and fused them with their ubiquitous camouflage motif.

Undoubtedly Fred Perry’s most iconic garment, the twin-tipped polo shirt arrives with added camouflage front panels and trims, with embroidery typography back, in either purple and black iterations.

Similarly, BAPE’s trademark design has been plastered across hoodies with kangaroo pockets and dual-branded track jackets, which come with camo panels and custom track tape at the sleeves.

The collection — which lands online on March 11 — is the second between the two brands, and follows Fred Perry’s recent collaboration with Raf Simons, as well as successful link-ups with the likes of Charles Jeffrey LOVERBOY and G.H. Bass last year.

For BAPE, this collab comes soon after yet another fresh batch of STA releases, and before its highly-anticipated reunion with minimalist aficionado JJJJound.

While BAPE’s take on FP pieces might not be to everyone’s liking, it certainly injects a little bit of streetwear savviness into a selection of otherwise classic-looking garments.
