Headlining today's much-anticipated Apple event is the official introduction of the new iPhone. The company gives us a first peek at the iPhone Xs and iPhone Xs Max, which look noticeably similar to the iPhone X. Each version, however, does come in gold, unlike the predecessor.

Apple's iPhone Xs Max is the largest iPhone to date, boasting a 6.5-inch all-screen design. In comparison, the iPhone 8 spans 5.5 inches, while the Galaxy Note is 6.4 inches.

Alongside the iPhone Xs Max is the 5.8-inch iPhone Xs, each with Super Retina displays, the first 7-nanometer chip in a smartphone — the A12 Bionic chip with next-generation Neural Engine — a faster and improved dual camera system, faster Face ID, wider stereo sound, and Dual SIM.

The iPhone Xs and iPhone Xs Max in 64GB, 256GB, and 512GB, and space gray, silver, and a new gold finish, become available for pre-order Friday, September 14, before landing in stores on Friday, September 21. Prices start at $999 and $1,099 respectively.
